About Us

Nathan White started his legal practice ten years ago in Toorak Gardens and it has grown over that time. Nathan and the other lawyers aim to provide practical, cost-effective solutions for clients by working with them to resolve their problems and achieve their objectives.

Our sincerity and commitment to our clients ensures your visit to his office is a reassuring experience. You can rest assured that we will do our utmost to maximise your opportunities and achieve your best possible outcome. We value excellence with integrity. As a result, the practice enjoys a high degree of personal recommendation from our clients, who do not hesitate to refer their friends and family.

Our client base is broad, ranging from individuals and families to business and community groups. The initial consultation is free; during the consultation, we will discuss the legal process with you, giving you options and the potential costs.

Nathan White

Nathan White

Principal

Nathan completed a Bachelor of Science in Urban Estate Management (Surveying) prior to undertaking a Postgraduate Diploma in Law to become a solicitor. Nathan’s specialist knowledge and experience in real estate and property management have assisted him in navigating the complexities of real estate in property law itself, but as it impacts and relates to several other areas of law, such as construction, estate, family and general commercial law.


Nathan was admitted to practice as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of South Australia in 2009 and to the High Court of Australia in 2010.

Areas of Expertise

Apart from establishing Nathan White Lawyers, Nathan’s career highlight to date has been instructed in a matter that was taken to appeal in the High Court of Australia sitting in Canberra and succeeding.


In his spare time, Nathan’s interest includes all things motoring, including driving in the Adelaide Rally, riding his motorbike or scooter. Nathan enjoys watching Formula One, football and cricket.  Nathan also enjoys cooking for friends and according to his colleagues makes the best pavlova, despite not having a sweet tooth. Other interests include sailing, urban rambling, photography, listening to his extensive and diverse music collection and learning to play the keyboard, badly, but this is getting better.

Mihiri Sumanasekara

Mihiri Sumanasekara 

Solicitor

Mihiri holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts (International Relations) from the University of South Australia.  Mihiri commenced work experience at Nathan White Lawyers in 2019, prior to her admission in February 2020, when she became a Barrister and Solicitor. Mihiri was admitted to the High Court of Australia in 2022


Following her admission, Mihiri practised as a generalist lawyer, helping clients from all walks of life with a variety of issues. This allowed her to truly understand and experience the diverse nature of law. In her second year of practice, Mihiri decided to focus on family law.

Areas of Expertise

Mihiri now also handles Wills and Estates and Probate and Civil Litigation, but her focus remains on family law, handing financial and parenting matters as well as complex child protection matters. Since this time, Mihiri has amassed experience in difficult matters relating to property settlements and children.


Mihiri prides herself on being able to take a realistic and diligent approach to legal matters. Being from a diverse background, she can empathise and cater to clients from many walks of life and provides effective and strong representation to all clients.


In her spare time, Mihiri enjoys listening to music, writing fiction, and dining out with friends.

Shane Sanchez

Shane Sanchez

Solicitor

Shane Sanchez holds a Bachelor of Arts, a Bachelor of Justice and Society (Criminology) and a Bachelor of Laws and Legal Practice from Flinders University. Shane joined Nathan White Lawyers in January 2022, he was admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of South Australia in 2021 and to the High Court of Australia in 2022.

Areas of Expertise

Shane represented Australia in soccer with RMIT University in 2006, winning the Asia Pacific Cup. He was a test driver for an Adelaide-based V8 Supercar team and is fluent in Spanish, French, Italian and Portuguese.


In his spare time, he enjoys listening to music, dining out, attending Port Adelaide AFL matches and Adelaide United A-League soccer matches. In addition Shane enjoys spending time with friends, in particular out on the golf course. He also enjoys watching the Formula 1 and V8 Supercars.

Neesha Nandasena

Neesha Nandasena

Solicitor

Neesha was admitted as an Attorney-at Law of the Supreme Court of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka. At the beginning of her career, she was practising as a commercial lawyer and junior counsel with President’s counsel, J.E.P Deraniyagala and later represented many reputed companies as a corporate lawyer until she migrated to Australia.


Neesha continued her legal career in Australia in various roles and was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor in the Supreme Court of South Australia. Neesha has been a solicitor at Nathan White Lawyers since 2021. 


Neesha is a lawyer with vast experience providing advice to local, intestate, and international clients. She is fluent in Sinhala and acts for Sri Lankan community living in South Australia. Neesha’s expertise combined with her in-depth understanding of both Australian and Sri Lankan cultures, enables her to understand her clients’ needs and effectively communicate with them and their counterparts to deliver exceptional outcomes. 


Neesha is also a Professional Translator for English and Sinhala languages accredited by the National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters (NAATI) in Australia.

She enjoys cooking, traveling and interior designing during her leisure time.

Sarah Milne

Sarah Milne

Solicitor

Sarah Milne holds a Bachelor of Law and Legal Practice and a Bachelor of Criminology from Flinders University. Sarah joined Nathan White Lawyers in July 2023, and she was admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of South Australia in February 2023. 



In her spare time, Sarah’s interests include listening to music, baking, travelling, enjoying live music, and spending time with her friends and family. 


Sarah is fluent in Auslan (Australian Sign Language) and can provide interpretation for those who are hearing impaired.

Linh Truong

Linh Truong

Law clerk

Linh is currently in her final year of bachelor of Laws and bachelor of Commerce; she commenced working at Nathan White Lawyers as a law clerk in October 2022. Linh intends to remain with the firm as a solicitor following her graduation and admission to practice.


Linh is fluent in Vietnamese and can speak conversational Japanese and Chinese. Linh is doing a Diploma of Language majoring in Chinese. 


When not studying or working Linh likes travelling, photography, shopping and playing badminton.
